10/2 Thursday, Manzano Mountains St Park, NM

The “kids” had me up before dawn this morning. It’s very difficult trying to walk quietly on a gravel road!! I tried to go back to sleep, but their tummies kicked in saying it was time for breakfast. Fed them outside, did my “housework” and had my breakfast. Just took it easy and read a few more chapters in my current novel.

Called my sister to wish her a happy birthday and to remind her she is still older than me. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE.

At 9am our group got together for our outing photo. As usual, we had the errant dog facing the wrong way, and Robert got nipped by Gopher (Border Collie) when he got too close to her person. We had some spirited barking going on between all the dogs, as there are a lot of strong personalities among them. We did get some good photos, though.

Went over group business with Jane, and took a brief nap. Got up in time to frost my lemon cupcakes for our 1pm lunch pot luck. As always, a wonderful pile of food, and there sure wasn’t much left!! 3 kinds of hot bean dishes, kababs, steak, salad, no bake cookies.. yum, yum, yum!! It is breezy today, and we were chasing foil and napkins around while cleaning up.

Came back to the rig and read some more, then I wandered down for “happy hour” at 5pm. After today’s great lunch, everyone was lightly munching on chips and dip, etc., and indulging in “grape juice” and cerveza. It’s 7:15pm now, and all the sleepy heads are tucked into their rigs.
