Friday August 28 - Surprise AZ

Well, Blue is in the process of getting some kinks worked out before the Balloon Fiesta! A nice gentleman, Dale from KISS RV Repair came to the house today and inspected the roof air conditioner that got whacked in Denver. Turns out the metal "skid plate" that was under the shroud was knocked a little loose, so it was readjusted and NO MORE NOISE!!! wheeee!! The best part was no damage to the AC... I could just see the dollars flying!!

Next up was determining the problem with the heater. As Steve guessed, the fan motor had frozen. So Dale worked on taking the heater out of Blue, and true to Lazy Daze fashion, the wiring had been zip-tied to the plumbing pipes to keep everything nice and neat. 'Cept, Dale couldn't reach it, and Steve couldn't reach it, but I could!! So, the three of us are in the kitchen, it's working on a 116* day, and I'm trying to clip the zip tie, WITH MY GIMPY HAND!!! Once I took a little nip out of it, it was easy to break and the heater slid right out. So Dale took it away to repair in their shop, and we should have it back mid-next week.

Steve says Blue looks like he has gun ports in his side with the heater grate/grill assembly missing!Another thing, Blue has a new home!! He is now MUCH closer to home with a nice, wide, longer spot, with the same price as the old place!! It's a brand new facility, and I can ride my bike there from home!! No more fighting traffic to store him! YEAH!!

June 17 Wednesday – Kanab, UT to Surprise, AZ

The more I look around this little RV park, The Kanab RV Corral, the more I’m impressed. It is so neat and tidy and they’ve done a great job on the pet area. Right in the central part of town, too!! Invasion of the "children", above..... dog park, below.....

Very personable, semi-orange kitty at the RV park.....
Our neighbors rig, absolutely immaculate.....
"Road" sign at the RV park...
Well, it’s time to mosey on home.. we headed south and had a stop at the Glen Canyon Dam, and a tiny view of Lake Powell. We wandered through the exhibits at the Dam, but decided to pass on a tour of the “workings”.

We drove into Page looking for a little “mom and pop” type restaurant, but couldn’t find anything, so we ended up having lunch at Denny’s. Not bad, but not what we wanted, either!! Are we home, yet??? Smudge really likes to see where she is going....
"Puffy whites" near Flagstaff....
It’s been a good trip, but we’re all glad to be home!!! I’ll spend the next few days getting Blue cleaned up and tucked back in his “home away from home” until our next adventure in October!!!
