We served sweet rolls and orange juice as a "goodby" to all of our Lazy Daze friends.
Got everything tidied up we were ready to roll before noon. Quite a few rigs had left either Saturday evening or early this morning, including the "Prescott Parade". The folks in Prescott could almost have their own group, there are so many LDs up there.
On the way home, we saw two other Lazy Dazes going eastbound, and one was our friends Heidi and Rylie, of Travels with Rylie fame!
I do need to apologize for few photos this outing. I was hoping to do some more driving and hiking, but under the circumstances, that was out of the question!
BUT!!! Blue has more adventures coming up, one in Morro Bay, California, another with the LaDeze bunch in Temecula, California and THEN, off to Missiouri to visit the grandkids!!

2/28 Saturday Catalina State Park
Oh, there were so many goodies to eat for breakfast today!! Our fruit bowl offering disappeared fairly quickly. I took a few goodies back to my Dad to nibble on throughout the day.
As I had to return the rental Jeep by noon, I drove on down to the Enterprise office and waited and waited for a ride from one of their folks. This is a REALLY busy office!!! My Mom called and told me our friend Robert was upset that I didn't ask for a ride, and was coming down to get me. He pulled in just as an Enterprise employee was finally available to take me back to the park.
We had a lazy day relaxing around the campground, and then a bunch of us went to dinner at "Mi Tierra", a Mexican restaurant in Catalina. What made it funny was me asking my folks if I could go out to dinner!! I did leave Blues' keys in case of an emergency.
Mi Tierra was fun, and the food/drinks were delicious. We did end up moving twice before we found a semi quiet spot, out on the enclosed patio. Eight folks went and had a good time. This seemed like a really popular place, and I would go back.
After I got back to camp, my parents and I played "Go Fish"... well, Dad wanted to play strip poker, but since I was there, that was ruled out!!

2/27 Friday Catalina State Park, Tucson, AZ
We all slept in until about 9:30 am. Dad is feeling much better this morning.
Most of our group were out sitting around the fire ring listening to a talk on hiking the Arizona Trail.
We drove off to get Dad’s new prescriptions filled and mail Annelises’ confirmation dress to Missouri. Dad’s nurse last night was a fount of information regarding local places to “take care of business”.
There are a lot of new homes in this area, but no where to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. It was almost noon when I decided to head north on Oracle to Catalina. Mom saw a little building that looked like a restaurant. Since we had a 4x4, I did a little wandering on a single lane dirt track to u-turn to the restaurant “Sunnyside up Café”. We had a great breakfast/lunch. Lots of turnover, but service was good and fast.
We then waited in line for the Walgreens drive through to drop off one of Dad’s prescriptions, and had a nice chat in with the lady in the car next to us. Turns out this Walgreens is one of the busiest in the Tucson area. I could believe it.
Mama and I joined everyone at happy hour. Mama has made a lot of friends and has a great time chatting with everyone. Just before bed, I started preparing our fruit salad more tomorrow’s breakfast pot luck.2/26 Thursday Catalina State Park, Tucson, AZ
BRRRRR!!! Is it cold this morning. Turned out it was 37 degrees outside. Dad and I were frozen. Once we thawed out, we got everybody together for our GTG photo. 
Our business meeting only garnered one new idea for our Feb-Mar GTG in 2010, to Usery Park. I need to remember to talk to Gil and Nancy about the Nevada trip in Sept. Maybe we will do Manzano Mountains again instead. I didn’t get a lot of response regarding Dead Horse, but we do have a few committed. Another member suggested blending with an SOB group that he is a member on to share the costs.
I thought I was going to get a call about our rental car, and the clerk thought I was coming by at 10am. So, I did finally get a little Jeep Liberty, but later in the day at around 2pm. Robert took me down to the Enterprise office, about 5 miles south of the campsite.
The parents and I had PB & J sandwiches with Sara’s homemade spiced rhubarb jam for lunch. YUMMMMMM!!
Today is Annelise's 14th Birthday!!! My Mom and I sang her birthday song to her via cell-phone. I’ve been working on Annelises’ confirmation dress since Monday when I received the pattern. I’m doing the hand sewing now so folks are interested in what I am working on and want to see the photos of her wearing it.
Somebody brought an entire basket of these huge lemons to share... goodie!! They also made great weights for the tablecloths!

Two new "adopted" members of the group meeting each other. One a rescue, one a puppy with springs for legs and great enthusiasm!Dad has been really loggy all afternoon, so I ran him over to the hospital to have his blood pressure checked about 7pm. Turns out he is dehydrated and has a urinary tract infection, along with the tremor and the low blood pressure. We spent most of the night in the emergency department of Oro Valley Hospital. The doctor let me come back to the campground for a few moments around midnight to make up the beds and turn on the heater. Poor mama was still awake. I was trying to be quiet and managed to honk the horn. Opps!
Back at the hospital the nurse was trying to get Dad to move over after he had a standing blood pressure check. She finally gave him a hip bump, I thought, "HOW RUDE", but then I thought, she told us she goes riding at Catalina, and bumping is how you move a stuborn horse or mule!!
We ended up getting home from the hospital at 2:45 am. Mama tucked Dad in bed and gave him a kiss... his reply "is that all I get??" He must not feel all that bad.
2/25 Wednesday Catalina State Park, Tucson, AZ
We headed south to Tucson this morning, with good weather and little traffic. Our first stop was at McDonalds, as my Mom was craving a Yogurt Parfait. Dad wasn’t too happy with a little cheeseburger, but really enjoyed his Oreo McFlurry.
From there, we drove down to the Manitoba house to meet the new tenants to give them the keys and collect the balance of the move in money. Tucson Steve and Jon the Painter met us there too to get parts and pieces for repairs at both houses. It’s great to have nice families in both homes!!
We encountered horrible traffic on the way to Catalina State Park on the north side of Tucson, so we were late arriving… we figured we would have 8-10 rigs attending, we have 20!!! One is in the electric sites, and another couple are just coming up for a day. When we got to the campground, there were about 14 rigs already there. We were able to fit everyone in, we are cozy but not crowded.
I got teased for being “late”, although I wasn’t really late, just folks arrived before me! It was fun to sit around and chat with everyone and meet new friends, too.
Everyone got together to enjoy happy hour with lots of wonderful snacks. This is a great group that has come together and a lot of fun friendships have been made.

All the folks who visited the shower facilities were impressed with how nice and spacious and clean they were!
